Responsibilities
Position Overview:

As part of the Audience Growth & Acquisition team, the Director, Data Strategy and Analytics will manage data strategy for NBC Sports marketing analytics and activations. The execution of this strategy will lead to data-driven insights that drive audience growth, campaign efficiency, engagement, and monetization for programming and business priorities that include The Olympics, Sunday Night Football, PGA TOUR, NASCAR, Premier League, NBC Sports EDGE and more.

Responsibilities
• Help to develop and execute a roadmap for the collection of first party data at scale, with a focus on identity, named relationships, phone numbers and rich behavioral data within our CDP
• Work to maximize the marketing, personalization, and data collection capabilities of our marketing tech stack and the NBC Sports consumer data platform, Wingspan
• Develop an analytics roadmap that provides actionable data to marketing teams, drives attribution and ROI, assigns revenue to campaign efforts, and tracks known users across platforms and properties
• Develop and export audiences for marketing campaigns using enterprise consumer data platform
• Ensure that meta data, tracking, tagging, and product implementation are consistent across Sports properties and aligned with enterprise efforts
• Support privacy compliance initiatives
• Manage work and priorities of functional resources across departments
• Business analysis and dashboard creation for marketing and product analytics

Qualifications/Requirements

• BA/BS in an analytical field (e.g. Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Business or related field)
• 5-10 years of work experience involving analytical rigor as typically seen in, but not restricted to, functions like data analytics, finance, business operations, etc. or industries like media, technology, consulting, banking, etc.
• 3-4 years of working experience on CRM including email, retargeting and push-notifications.
• Familiarity with mobile measurement and attribution products, particularly Branch and Kochava.
• Familiarity with emerging changes to sharing of consumer data device manufacturers and advertising platforms
• Problem solving and analysis experience solving business problems using big data and qualitative information from various sources
• Experience presenting business and technical content to senior stakeholders, peers and general audiences
• Hands-on experience in managing a CDP

• 5-10 years of work experience working in or with Streaming or Digital media, internet or technology industry
• Experience in sport team, media, or fantasy/gaming product marketing
• Detail-oriented and ability to prioritize multiple projects
• Technical skill and experience with Snowflake, Python, R, SQL, Tableau, Domo, mParticle, Amplitude and Adobe Analytics
• Ability to work in a fast-changing work environment
