Responsibilities
OVERVIEW
NBCUniversal Global Distribution is responsible for the distribution of NBCUniversal and Sky content to all forms of television and digital media customers. This includes a rich library of more than 4,000 feature films and 100,000 television episodes, including current and classic titles, non-scripted programming, sports, news, long-form and short-form programming, and locally produced content from around the world.

Reporting directly to the Group Controller, this is a key leadership role in the TVD Controller team. The person will be responsible for not only leading key processes that are fundamental to the business, but will also play a critical role in leading innovation and driving change in how these processes are executed. RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for monthly and quarterly closing processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness with a focus on the balance sheet and related analyses, including:
• Preparation of monthly and quarterly balance sheet review package and ad hoc requests
• Monthly and quarterly close metric reporting owner
• Overhead and direct expenses accounting
• Third party distribution statements processing and review
• Reconciliation of AR and deferred revenue balances between subledger and SAP
• Balance sheet classification
• Working closely with FP&A and corporate functions
• SAP Ledger Maintenance (cost center hierarchy, suspense clearing, etc)
• Process owner for key SOX controls, support financial audit requests
• Preparation and review of account reconciliations and Blackline administrator
• Lead the process re-design for all key relevant financial ledger processes and systems to achieve monthly close; identify and re-design areas of improvement and optimization through leveraging technology and eliminate redundancies
• Collaborate on corporate initiatives (e.g., Journal Entry Park and Post) and process change across the business unit, including special projects
• Work with Corporate Controllership teams to gather and support information necessary to address new GAAP accounting standard requirements and implementations
• Closely align with technical accounting and finance teams on issues impacting financial statements, footnote presentation and disclosure
• Serve as a business partner to lead change
• Manage a team of 4; train and engage with Comcast CORE rotational program
• Develop and build a strong accounting staff team that delivers quality accounting services as well as governance and control
• Review of T&E and PCard financial review procedures, including being the business operators main contact person for questions (e.g., setup, troubleshooting, and approver).
• Superuser for SNAP including CAM management, Finance approval for charges, vendor setup and troubleshooting

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance
• CPA and/or MBA
• 10 years accounting experience

Additional Job Requirements
• Must be willing to work in Universal City, California
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
