Job Description

This role supports the development and implementation of overall digital strategy, taking cues from internal teams as well as multiple stakeholders, to cultivate and distribute cross-platform digital content that will engage and grow site audience. They will be responsible for all aspects of content publishing, which includes production, presentation, and evaluation.

Responsibilities:
• Create, update, and maintain site pages in WordPress and monitor (quality control) content on live site and troubleshoot or escalate as needed.
• Design, build and edit online content, pages, assets, and applications.
• Coordinate the creation/design of assets for campaigns and articles as needed (banners, featured images, etc.).
• Collaborate with editorial team to plan optimization of content.
• Repurpose existing content into engaging assets that users can respond to
• Perform content reviews and audits with a focus on driving strategy changes.
• Collect and maintain quality of images for editorial use.
• Frequently update editorial calendar.
• Assist with community management across site - actively engage and respond to users and brainstorm ways to increase site conversation and sign-ups.
• Work with creative team members to brainstorm and develop strategies and tactics in support of our brand efforts.
• Collaborate with other teams: marketing; sales; and moderation to ensure brand consistency.

Essential Duties:
• Manage day-to-day publishing across channels.
• Monitor discussions and comments across RT.com
• Will execute the digital strategy laid out by Senior staff.
• Will maintain the brand's voice across RT.com
• Will share performance-based feedback on articles to drive strategy changes.
• Will work with Sr. Producers to identify opportunities for increased engagement, video views, and user sign-ups.
• Analyze performance data regularly to make improvements to content creation and communicate findings and best practices to the Editorial team.
• Support sales and marketing initiatives by overseeing branded pieces of content.

Qualifications

Required Skills:
• 3+ years of experience working for a major publisher or brand
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt quickly to changing project requirements.
• Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Well-versed in the latest productivity and marketing technologies (such as Airtable, Smartsheets, Jira) and can assist creative and technical resources with ideas, scoping, and solutions.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Availability to work nights and weekends.

Additional Requirements:
• This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
