Job Description

NBC Los Angeles is looking for a talented producer to create content for digital, social and broadcast platforms. In this innovative new role, the producer will develop original content focusing on LA sports news, teams and athletes with the primary goal of reaching today's ever-growing audience.This is an in-person position with a 40-hour work week based in our station in Universal City, CA.

Responsibilities
• Craft compelling original local sports content for cross-platform, incorporating in-depth analysis and captivating storytelling to captivate the audience.
• Oversee the production of compelling sports segments for newscasts, from initial concept to story development, scripting, editing, and integrating graphics.
• Creatively plan, film, edit, and publish engaging sports content tailored for digital and social media platforms, ensuring a dynamic online presence.
• Repurpose NBC4 Sports broadcast materials inventively for digital consumption, enhancing story presentation and viewer experience across online channels.
• Work collaboratively with a diverse team, including sports and digital producers, anchors, and reporters, to deliver cohesive and high-quality content.
• Keep abreast of local and professional sports happenings, using insights to inform content creation that resonates with a bilingual demographic.
• Actively participate in content strategy meetings, providing innovative ideas for cross-platform sports coverage that appeals to a broad audience.
• Ensure all content upholds the highest standards of journalistic integrity and reflects the dynamic nature of sports in both local and professional contexts.
• Leverage the latest digital media tools and technologies to produce visually appealing and informative multimedia sports content.

Qualifications

Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in broadcast television production
• 3+ years of experience in social and digital platforms (TickTok, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Amazon, Netflix) to increase viewership.
• Strong knowledge of the Los Angeles sports market, teams and athletes
• Experience in developing social and digital content
• Proven ability to work quickly under tight deadlines in a live TV environment

• Ability to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends and holidays as needed
• Working proficiency in Spanish and English

Salary Range: $70,000 - $105,000
