Responsibilities
Overview
The Change and Communication Lead role is an integral role within the Global Finance Operations Transformation program, which is an extensive multi-year programme which has the objective of streamlining NBCU's finance organization to better support the business, and is jointly sponsored by the CFO and Global Controller.
Role Purpose and Key Responsibilities:
The purpose of this role is to provide key input to potential operational model changes, develop and deliver change plans and drive engaging communications to support the Global Finance Operations Transformation in the successful deployment of proposed changes aligned with the wider Finance and organization strategy. This is expected to be a 12 to 24-month assignment.
Initially working from home, some flexibility with working hours will be required to match US East Coast working hours where required if based elsewhere. US Domestic and International travel may also be required.
The aim of the role is to ensure business leaders, change agents, impacted employees and suppliers both provide input and are regularly engaged, understand the reasons and benefits of the changes, what it means for them, how they will be supported throughout the transition and the associated success factors. A key part of the role is also inputting to process and organizational design elements that are a deliverable of the transformation.
The role will work closely with a wide variety of stakeholders in both Global Controllership and the wider Finance organization, HR and other business areas to ensure that activities are aligned, coordinated and integrated.
Key responsibilities:
• Develop change and communication strategies and plans to support delivery of the Global Finance Operations Transformation
• Assess and conduct interventions as needed to ensure organizational readiness for change
• Provide regular input to organizational design elements associated with the transformation
• Deliver communications in an open and transparent manner
• Provide strategic counsel to stakeholders, advising them on solutions for best practice change management and communications
• Build and develop relationships with influencers and stakeholders both in and outside of Global Controllership
• Use storytelling to support the transformation journey and illustrate key proof points
• Provide audience insights and analysis
• Test and learn new change communications tactics to drive innovation and engagement
• Develop and deliver tailored change plans and interventions as required using a core toolkit as a basis
• Drive completion and maintenance of Business Change Impact Assessment (BCIA) and Change Action Plan (including change readiness and embedding activities)
• Collaborate with other programmes to understand and mitigate the cumulative impact of change on individuals and teams
• Help to manage a complex stakeholder landscape to ensure understanding, buy in, and mitigate comms risk and issues to ensure a smooth path for project delivery
• Put important operational change messages into a business context and use global materials to support production of clear, simple, engaging copy and visual communications
• Track and manage key change and communication metrics
Complexity:
• The activities that come within the scope of this role are diverse, often with many interdependencies as well as sensitivities
• The role involves considerable matrix working, influencing and stakeholder management and moves at pace
Qualifications/Requirements
• Experience of transformation communications planning and execution for a global matrixed organisation
• Experience delivering large organisational change and developing and deploying global campaigns to a diverse audience
• Experience of working in target operating model, process, and/or technology change
• Formal training in change and communication would be an advantage but not a requirement
• Experience in Finance would be an advantage but not a requirement
