Job Description
The Business Operations Specialist is part of the NBCUniversal Local Operations team supporting a division of more than 50 businesses, including the NBC and Telemundo Owned Television Stations, Regional Sports Networks and a number of multicast networks and content production groups.
The Business Operations Specialist will contribute to knowledge management, communications, training, data and information management, and standardization efforts. This individual will support programs and projects across the division, as well as help drive a culture of knowledge sharing, agile methodology, and upskilling to drive improvements across the entire NBCUniversal Local division. We're looking for an individual who wants to make an impact in a technology-focused, growing organization.
This role will:
• Partner with subject-matter experts to curate and maintain documentation that can be used to build knowledge management libraries, training curriculum, process maps, and manuals/guides. This includes creation of product pages in Confluence and delivering training content for key technology, applications, and processes across TechOps, Sales, and additional areas of the business.
• Identify areas of continual improvement, gather and implement best practices for documentation, knowledge management, and SOPs.
• Own the analysis and development of key organizational metrics as well as the facilitation of conversations to extract these.
• Gather and prepare metrics and information for leadership and divisional reviews, partner with business SME's to assemble slides, presentations and reports.
• Maintain routine updates to varying department tools (i.e. technology dashboards, organizational reports, contact lists, team calendars) and continuously look to improve and automate the data gathering process.
• Apply project management fundamentals and take administrative ownership of meetings, agendas, and data/requirements gathering.
• Administer scrum stand-ups to support project tracking & completion. Provide project/program support and coordination
• Drive operational improvements by fostering an ''automate and simplify'' mentality toward information management and routine processes.
• Execute operations-led communication efforts aligned to the group's communication strategy and in partnership with the division Communications team, HQ leadership, and business vertical leads.
Qualifications
• Experience with analytics toolsets and Jira project ticketing & management
• Working knowledge of Camtasia Studio, Articulate Rise, Bridge LMS, Pluralsight, Campaign Monitor or other marketing email tools, learning management, Web/Content CMS tools a plus
• Familiarility with Agile Scrum methodology and managing day-to-day standups
• Strong presentation skills
• Proven ability to manage a large workload, prioritize and deliver high quality output will be essential
• Must be able to demonstrate sound judgment in complex and sensitive situations. Confidentiality will be a critical part of this role.
• Customer Service orientation and strong relationship-building skills are critical
Requirements
• B.A, or 3+ years equivalent professional experience
• Experience and intermediate expertise across an array of business tools (including but not limited to Excel, Tableau, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Smartsheet, Confluence)
• Willingness to travel and work outside standard hours on occasion
• Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week from one of the following locations - NYC, LA, Philadelphia, Dallas/Fort Worth, DC, Boston, Miami, Chicago.
This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
