Building Engineer

Job Description

Responsibilities:
Job Purpose: As Building Engineer, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance in a 24-hour critical facility. Responsibilities would include:
• Operation and maintenance of HVAC systems
• Basic electrical and plumbing work
• General building maintenance and repairs
• Environmental, Health and Safety duties as assigned

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• 10 years' experience in a maintenance and operation of steam boilers and centrifugal chillers in critical facilities
• Valid DC 3rd class License and Universal CFC license

Eligibility Requirements:
• Must be willing to work in Washington DC
• Must be 18 years or greater
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be available to work overtime, evenings, weekends, holidays as needed

Desired:
• Experience with UPS systems and data center cooling
• Experience with emergency generators, switchgear operation with PLC interface controls
• Experience with automated building controls, preventive maintenance, pneumatic controls and troubleshooting techniques
• Must work well under pressure. Capable of immediate response when operator intervention is required
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) speaking skills preferred

Additional Requirements:
• Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.
