This role reports to the Sr. Manager Billing Success.

Primary Focus

Responsible for the day-to-day activities around billing and payments success, with a primary focus on billing and payments data analysis, tracking payment performance across the product and analysing key trends and insights to improve processes and performance for the Showmax proposition.

Key Responsibilities
• Closely monitor and analyse our international D2C billing and payments performance for Showmax
• Analyse billing and payment KPIs to identify trends within the business and opportunities for growth
• Interact with external payment processors providers and credit card schemes on reporting, metrics, and data analysis
• Effectively and clearly present data insights and key findings across the organization as needed
• Synthesize insights into product and campaign-level best practices to inform organizational success
• Work closely with Data and Insights to develop additional tracking metrics and enhance reporting and dashboards as needed
• Work closely with Finance team on payment success tracking, impacts, and reporting
• Stay informed on global payment regulations and best practices that impact subscription merchants
• Perform ad hoc analysis as needed

Qualifications

Essential Skills and Attributes
• Strong data analysis skills and ability to effective present data analysis and insights
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Ability to manipulate, question and interpret data in order to develop recommendations
• Ability to work cross functionally with internal and external stakeholders to resolve payment related inquires
• Aptitude and willingness to get involved in the details
• Proven ability to prioritize multiple business requests
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented and well-organized
• Proven ability to problem-solve and think outside of the box
• Great collaboration and facilitation skills with the ability to develop strong working relationships and succeed as a team player within the organization

Essential knowledge & experience
• Minimum 3-5 years relevant working experience in payments, banking, or transactions
• Experience with Billing and Payments systems
• Knowledge of global payment trends and regulations and how they impact our D2C international business and our customers

Desirable Skills & Attributes
• Familiarity with BI technologies (Including Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, etc.)

Desirable knowledge & experience
• Experience in OTT streaming or other digital subscription products a plus
• Hands on experience with payment processors, monitoring tools and reporting
• Localized understanding of trends and regulations within African territories a plus
• Experience with global payments and international credit card schemes a plus
