Responsibilities
Role Purpose
The Associate Counsel, Intellectual Property role will be responsible for supporting a variety of Intellectual Property matters arising from the production of content or creation of brands across the businesses, with an emphasis on enforcement of the IP portfolio.

Responsibilities
• Support and coordinate intellectual property enforcement-related actions within the team and work with business partners around the globe on matters including, anti-counterfeiting, trademark oppositions, cease and desist letters, customs seizures and UDRP proceedings
• Responsible for ecommerce platform takedowns, social media takedowns and DMCA complaints
• Conduct clearance searches titles, trademarks, character names, and similar production and content related assets and drafting responses to office actions to assist with the prosecution and management of the global trademark portfolio
• Assist with domain name administration and strategy
• Responsible for data analysis and reporting relating to trademark portfolio
• Work together with the IT and finance teams to generate regular reports related to financial budgeting and forecasting
• Work with the rest of the department by assisting counsel on intellectual property projects

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
• 1-3 years of experience (preferably in the trademark or intellectual property field)
• Member of the California bar or willing to register as In-House Counsel
• Strong computer skills, including proven experience with Word, Excel, and Powerpoint

Eligibility Requirements
• Must be willing to work in Universal City, CA
• Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU's Alternative Dispute Resolution Program
