Responsibilities

Job Purpose:

NBCUniversal Entertainment First Run Syndication is seeking an Art Department Production Supervisor to work with all day to day operations as outlined below for ''The Kelly Clarkson Show.'' This is a Run of Show position.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Work with Art Department to continually maintain and improve the look of the show
• Research and procure hand props, dressing and set pieces for production
• Communicate with trucking to arrange all local scenic deliveries
• Communicate with local rental houses to find props, dressing and set pieces as needed for production
• Order supplies and equipment as needed and manage deliveries
• Manage administration of art, dressing and prop receipts and corresponding paperwork
• Manage rental returns
• Create POs, check requests and procure vendor agreements
• Liaise with production and accounting to track and manage Art Dept budgets
• Manage Art Dept schedule, budgets and freelancer needs
• Work under the direction of Department Heads to manage department scheduling

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of professional working experience preferably in an art department
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator experience preferred
• Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice
• Must be willing to work in New York, NY
• Must have work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU's Alternative Dispute Resolution Program

Desired Characteristics:
• Production Experience and / or administrative experience within TV production or show environment desired
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments under high pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to follow direction and work independently when necessary.
• An artistic eye and sense of design/color/style
• Strengths in problem solving, equipment trouble-shooting, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
• Comfortable in a deadline-driven work environment
• Strong collaboration skills

Additional Requirements:
• Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
