Job Description

Responsibilities
NBCU's Owned Television Stations is looking for an analyst with an interest in using data to tell a story around our platforms and content performance for NBC, Telemundo, and Regional Sports Network local markets. In this role, you will work with product managers, editorial, and audience development to provide insights to help us make smart decisions for our platforms and content. You will report to the Director, Digital Analytics. The Analyst's responsibilities will include:
• Analyze and visualize data and insights to communicate findings clearly and concisely
• Deliver ad hoc analysis and create data stories or dashboards that help a broad group of business and editorial stakeholders understand our business
• Size opportunities to ensure editorial and product teams are prioritizing the most impactful work
• Transform large datasets using SQL to create high-quality sources for reporting and analytics
• Stay current on digital analytics and audience measurement best practices, announcements, and industry research

Qualifications/Requirements
• 1+ years of experience in digital data focused roles, e.g., data analytics or data engineering
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint are required; advanced skills (Pivot Tables, VLookups, etc.) are a plus
• Demonstrated ability to contribute to product development or business decisions using data
• An understanding of analytics and use of tools such as Adobe Analytics and comScore
• Experience with data visualization tools like Domo, Looker, Tableau, or PowerBI
• Ability to convey complex data results in a simple and concise way
• Have a working knowledge of SQL

Eligibility Requirements:
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older
