Job Description

The Accounts Payable Manager – UFEG Financial Contracts and Reporting (FCAR) and Production Finance will be responsible for liaising between the FCAR and Production Finance business teams and the Global Finance Operations (GFO) AP team to proactively identify key transactions, action resolutions for any delays, and optimize AP-related processes.

Key Responsibilities

Service Delivery
• Serve as the single point of contact for FCAR and Production Finance teams and line of business support in delivery of the high impact accounts payable processes.
• Transaction monitoring: maintains visibility to the status of transactions and help desk tickets, with expertise at identifying causes for delays (focused on high urgency transactions), and capability/ knowledge to resolve; works with business to ensure early identification of important and complex transactions to limit risk of delays past due dates
• Works with business to establish appropriate turn-around-times for key activities including talent/ entity payee changes and setups with the GFO AP team while establishing a process for expedited setup for unique situations. Uses metrics to monitor performance against turn-around-times and establish and execute actions in cases where there are gaps.
• Independent Vendor Verification (IVV): sensitive vendor information set-up and modifications require a specific process to mitigate cyber-related risks. IVV is administered by GFO but in some cases requires business coordination on account of complexities of the process. To facilitate IVV this role will (1) be an IVV process expert (2) liaise directly with GFO to understand IVV process or transactions-specific challenges and determine steps which balance controls and efficiency (3) coordinate/ broker discussions between vendors and GFO IVV team in cases where IVV is proving difficult to complete
• Keep accurate records, track actions needed and document discussions with businesses.

Continuous Improvements
• Recommends optimizations to AP/ P2P Global Process Owner (GPO) after considering all relevant factors including process harmonization and individual business needs.
• Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Special projects: works with GFO and biz to develop, plan, implement, and stabilize AP-related special projects.

Standards and Controls
• Process expertise: on-site expert on FCAR and Production Finance processes, plus GFO AP processes (including audit processes), so as to be an expert advisor for best approach to handle transactions and resolve various circumstances (in advance as much as possible).
• Ensure compliance to policies and procedures, and adherence to regulatory and audit requirements.

Performance
• Has the ability to self-troubleshoot problems experienced by FCAR and Production Finance and related vendors that report system and/or process issues to effectively provide exceptional customer service
• Metrics: Works with GFO and business to create, track, report and manage performance metrics and ensures leverage for appropriate and timely and proactive action.
• Escalation: understands and can assist with escalations required for vital and/ or aged transactions (leverages metrics and other reporting to identify w/o requiring biz notification).
• Develops relationships with vendor base.

People
• Partner with internal stakeholders and vendor base across the end-to-end processes to ensure AP process and controls awareness and ensure a high quality and productive support for business needs.

Qualifications
• 5+ years' experience in P2P environment including managerial positions of increasing responsibilities
• Exhibit a high degree of customer service for internal customers and business partners
• Working knowledge of financial controls, with varied experience in P2P areas (i.e., Vendor Maintenance, Invoice Processing, Treasury, Regulatory and Tax compliance, P-Card Administration)
• Experience and use of ERP software and familiarity with P2P subledger systems and interfaces
• Entertainment industry preferred

Education or Certification
• BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required

Knowledge & Skills
• Ability to interact with all levels to resolve issues or effect changes
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to influence within a matrixed and decentralized operating model
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
