Responsibilities

The Senior Quality Engineer will be a member of the FinTech team underneath the Sports Next umbrella. This role will be responsible for testing various applications (Web sites, APIs, and scheduled/on demand tasks) both collaboratively as well as independently. The team uses the SCRUM methodology for agile development. Test plans will be created from our persona-based user stories and requirements. Communication is a huge part of our team dynamic, and all voices are heard. The team member will be expected to voice their thoughts with the rest of the team as that is one of the best way to ensure success.

Responsibilities will include:
• Work closely with the product team to understand client needs and wants, and build the right acceptance criteria, the first time.
• Perform hands-on testing and debugging.
• Work closely with the development team to interpret and deliver business requirements.
• Create new or follow existing patterns (where applicable) for consistent delivery and success.
• Ensure defects are documented, communicated, and resolved in a timely manner.
• Keep current and up to date with the latest trends and new technology.
• Develop repeatable tests that meet performance and functional requirements
• Assist with maintaining our documentation for our various integration clients
• Guide and contribute towards evolving the FinTech eco-system.
• Help others to learn and grow in their skills.

Qualifications

The candidate must be able to demonstrate the following:
• 5 or more years professional software testing experience
• Experience testing REST APIs (ex via PostMan)
• Experience testing databases and writing queries (MS SQL, Mongo)
• Experience with issue management tools (such as Jira)
• Experience documenting work flows, test procedures, and guidelines
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent training or experience.

Additional desired qualifications:
• Experience with with the following:
• ETL (Airflow, Boomi, Stitch) tools.
• Frontend BI Tools (such as Periscope, Sisense, Tableau).
• Database (Redshift)
• AWS (S3 bucket, DMS, Lambda)
