Senior Analyst, Accounting

Job Description

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:
• Provide Accounting support to all Sports Group Departments
• Work closely with Sports Group Financial Planning & Analysis teams during the close process, aligning timelines and reporting objectives
• Prepare and provide monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc financial analyses to Sports Group and Corporate management teams
• Assist in the monthly and quarterly close process for consolidated NBC Sports Group
• Liaise with NBC Sports Group accounting personnel to ensure accounts are accurately stated and that all relevant corporate financial reporting data requests are fulfilled
• Provide ad hoc reporting and financial summaries to various NBC Sports Group business units and management teams
• Responsible for preparing and evaluating key operational and financial metrics
• Assist with T&E and P-card compliance programs for NBC Sports Group, including monthly/quarterly meetings with NBC Group Controller and CFO
• Liaise with business unit finance & operations to communicate policy & process changes
• Assist in the implementation of Corporate and Sports Group initiatives, policies, and procedures
• Work closely with Group Controllership teams to help implement best practices and cohesive reporting across NBCU business units
• Perform other duties and participate in ad hoc projects, as necessary

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• Minimum two (2) years accounting / audit experience
• Experience with general ledger
• Proficient with MS Windows environment and Advanced MS Excel skills

• Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice
• Must be willing to work in Stamford, CT
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older
