Responsibilities

AS the Manager of Olympic Operations, you will report to the Director of Operations. This position is an integral part of the Stamford Olympic Operations team. You will be responsible for supporting our long-term planning as well as database management in Stamford. In addition, you are expected to interface and collaborate with colleagues across Production, Engineering, Finance, Human Resources, Security, and our Facilities teams, while partnering with our Operations team abroad for the Olympics and Paralympics.

This is a full-time staff position with an estimated end date in April 2026; the position remains at will.

Responsibilities:
• Work under the direction of Director of Operations and Studio to plan, support and execute the Olympic effort in Stamford.
• Ability to quickly learn, navigate internal processes including custom/ proprietary database systems
• Manage, update and maintain overall Olympic information databases
• Work with systems design/ development teams to help continually improve existing custom applications
• Work with Production and Engineering departments to create and modify Stamford Olympic information documents and drawings
• Work in coordination with Finance departments to process and track Stamford Olympic Operations invoices
• Prepare and present budget reviews as needed to track overall spending categories as it relates to Stamford Olympic Operations
• Partner with Director of Operations and all relevant departments focused on long term planning.
• Assist in planning, supporting, and executing the Paralympic effort in Stamford
• Oversight of all Games Event Management functionality within internal NBC Sports Group database/CRM software (SCORE)
• Work closely with the development team to update and improve department-specific functions for the program
• Recruit and train all full-time and Games-time staff within the Olympic Operations space
• Lead internal communications: Regular staff meetings, departmental briefings and presentations, seminars with the intent to keep all areas informed
• Other responsibilities as assigned by Director of Operations

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:
• Minimum of four (4+) years project management experience
• Previous experience in planning or managing aspects of an Olympic program or comparable large-scale live event
• Willingness to be flexible and work weekends and or overnights as broadcast schedules require (specifically during the lead up and execution of the Olympic and Paralympic games)
• High level of computer proficiency: all Microsoft applications, desktop publishing, CRM experience, Smartsheet

Desired Characteristics:
• Excellent organization skills with a high level of attention to detail
• Proven ability to access priorities, multitask, adapt and pivot (when necessary) in a quick paced environment
• Solid written and verbal communication skills

Additional Requirements:
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Position is based in Stamford, Connecticut (minimum 3 days per week in the office prior the lead up of the Olympics)

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
