Job Description
NBC Universal's Studio Operations is looking for a Graphics Playback Operator to support the NBC Sports Group. This is a great opportunity to work with the best in the business in a live/tape Sports environment.
Responsibilities:
• Operation of multiple list driven Graphics devices for play-out to air, while maintaining high technical standards
• Cover an on-air lower-third control room Chyron Operator position and/or a Graphics Playback Operator position handling various graphics integration, including full screens, animations, OTS cutouts, talent box locators and routing
• Format graphic templates, organize data and prepare effects for live telecasts
• Coordinate graphics details with Directors, Technical Directors, Producers, Artists and Operations Managers
• Check content for accurate spelling and grammar
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of experience operating graphics playback devices for live television (This is not an Artist position)
• Minimum 4 years of experience in a live news and/or sports production control room environment
• Bachelors or Associates degree in related communications/Media field and/or equivalent experience
Desired Characteristics:
• Strong client service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle pressure in an on-air environment
Additional Requirements:
• Must be available for all shifts (weekends and holidays); requires flexibility with last minute schedule shifts and a requirement to work overtime, as needed
• Must be willing to work in Stamford, CT
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older
• Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.
