Responsibilities
National Center for Safety Initiatives, LLC (NCSI), a SportsEngine company, is seeking a Director to lead the business. SportsEngine is a part of the NBC Sports Next business, and this role would preferably be filled in one of our headquarter locations in Minneapolis, MN, Orlando, FL, or Stamford, CT.

NCSI is an exciting, growing company with the overarching mission of eradicating harm in organizations and communities by providing background screening and risk management tools. We are a digital business focused on customer service.
Our target client base is sports organizations who serve youth and other vulnerable populations. We are looking for people who are detail-oriented, reliable, and who share our passion to protect.

Job Overview
The Director of NCSI will be the most senior leader of the NCSI business. This includes overseeing our screening operations, client services, compliance and additional business operations functions. This role will report into the Sr. Director of the Safety and Growth businesses for NBC Sports Next.

Role and Responsibilities include:
• Provide day-to-day leadership and management, cultivating a high-performance team, and attracting, retaining and developing high-potential team members.
• Coordinate effectively across operations, client services, sales & account management, and other key stakeholders to ensure that all teams have the relevant information and tools, and are working together effectively.
• Offer on-going support and communication to team members, and establish expectations for the NCSI team including work productivity and quality, and report this information at regular intervals to employees and to leadership.
• Regularly engage with vendors to ensure innovative products and services are being utilized; work to manage gross margin; and act as the primary point of contact owning the process for finding new providers, renegotiating terms, testing data, and addressing any quality issues
• Own business and operational reporting including revenue, screening volume, utility, turnaround time, etc.
• Liaison with sales to ensure that appropriate pricing is being applied, and that the business maintains appropriate margins
• Manage local finance and administrative responsibilities for the NCSI business
• Coordinate with the Sr. Manager of Screening Operations and the Sr. Manager of Client Services to evaluate resources, ensure productivity goals are met, and manage costs.
• Ensure relationships are being effectively managed with all of our clients - from the largest national governing bodies to our thousands of youth sports and volunteer organizations, and deliver a consistent, reliable experience for our registrants.
• Ensure the legal and regulatory compliance of the business, overseeing internal legal/compliance department, as well as working with outside counsel, and managing our PBSA accreditation.

Qualifications/Requirements
• 3+ years of management experience inside a high-growth, fast-paced environment (required)
• Experience with a digital business, including a focus on improving and evolving the use of digital platforms and tools, and the facilitation of high-end customer service
• High capacity for strategic thought and the ability to formulate insights and opinions around complex business problems
• Proven experience working effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholders, cultivating a winning strategy and culture
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to discuss technical issues clearly and concisely.
• Enthusiastic, hands-on, charismatic leader with exceptional communication skills

Desired Characteristics
• Experience in the background screening industry, preferably with search vendors, and/or credit reporting agencies is preferred
• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) from an accredited College or University preferred.
