Job Description
Responsibilities
• Act as media strategist, campaign planner and spokesperson for assigned sports
• Proactively and strategically create internal communications for NBC Sports, including newsletters and internal meetings / messages from Chairman and business leaders
• Support public relations for all facets of NBC Sports
• Generate all press materials including programming releases, bios, talking points, pitches to members of the media
• Build and maintain relationships with non-profit organizations
• Develop, lead, plan and execute select internal events, teaming with department leaders (Pop Up meetings, holiday parties, celebrations)
• Ensure NBC Sports is represented at community and industry events, with responsibility to help expand division's corporate social responsibility outreach
• Plan, vet, and manage executive speaking requests and awards for company initiatives
• Oversee DEI and HR Communications to help support division priorities, and manage a direct report
• Plan and execute press events and virtual meetings to promote the world's biggest sporting event
• Manage general communications department operations, including budget, Pages and interns, office logistics, and press website
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree, with a major in communications, journalism, or sports management preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Communications, preferably sports focused
Additional Job Requirements
