Job Description

Responsibilities
This Sr. Data Scientist position is part of the Decision Science team under NBC Sports Next. The data scientist will be responsible for the development of advanced pricing and marketing solutions.
This role will help the team expand our current analytic capability within a dynamic and innovative organization and be critical in developing unique tools that will provide value for both internal and external business partners.

Job Duties
• Utilize statistical modeling and mathematical optimization models to develop and refine revenue management models congruent to the evolving business on an ongoing basis.
• Ability to implement revenue management and marketing algorithms such as timeseries forecasts, logistic regression, random forests, econometric models, segmentation, CART analysis, K-means, marketing mix modeling and churn models
• Troubleshoot forecast and optimization anomalies to explain and/or refine models to reduce these anomalies.
• Collaborate with data services and operational teams for implementing the finalized revenue management and marketing models into production.
• Establish, monitor, communicate, and apply performance KPIs for the existing models.
• Assist in developing revenue-enhancing strategies to drive optimal decision making and to increase operating cash flow.
• Create presentations summarizing modeling effort to Senior Management, internal and external clients.

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
• A minimum of a Master's degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in modeling, developing, and implementing forecasting and optimization models applied to revenue management and/or advanced marketing analytics
• Advanced skills in Python, R, SQL, advanced Excel and/or in a reporting tool like Tableau, etc.
• Intellectual curiosity, along with excellent problem-solving and quantitative skills, including the ability to dis aggregate issues, identify root causes and recommend solutions

Desired Characteristics
• Pricing and/or marketing analytics experience is preferred
• Familiarity with golf and/or youth sports leagues
