Job Description

PLEASE NOTE: This is a project position with an estimated duration of up to 12 months, unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are completed.

NBC Sports Bay Area and California is hiring a part-time Audience Editor to create engaging social media posts and produce written content for digital platforms. You will work within the Digital content desk, and also collaborate with the Marketing/Creative Services, Studio and Live Events groups to identify compelling content to post on the company's social accounts (X, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube).

Responsibilities:
• Recognize and clip relevant pregame/postgame and in-game moments from NBC Sports Bay Area and California broadcasts to social accounts using tools such as Wildmoka, and post to multiple platforms in a timely manner
• Develop social copy, using strong knowledge of Bay Area and professional sports, that drives engagement across accounts and follows the appropriate voice and tone
• Write and edit articles about Bay Area sports teams as assigned by Digital leaders
• Help identify breaking news and trending topics from articles, podcasts, TV shows, etc., to quickly create and post content such as graphics and animations
• Work closely with Digital and Marketing leaders to brainstorm and develop original content ideas for upcoming events and games
• Assist with executing branded content, posting to appropriate channels to ensure client goals are met

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
• Minimum two (2+) years' experience in digital or social field
• Solid knowledge of sports, understanding what content drives digital audience interest
• Ability to work a flexible scheduling including nights, weekends and holidays
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, such as making graphics from templates using Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects
• Solid writer and familiar with AP Style with particular attention to detail
• Experience with use of social media tools, including but not limited to Twitter/X, Instagram and Facebook; Experience working with corporate accounts a plus

Desired Characteristics:
• Deep understanding of Bay Area sports a bonus
• Ability to work in fast paced environment

Additional Requirements:
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older
• Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week - San Francisco, CA.
• Salary range: $28/hour to $36/hour

Salary Details
