Accounting Manager

Job Description

Responsibilities:
• Responsible for managing and developing a team of three Analysts
• Manage month end close including review of journal entries, trial balance and account reconciliations
• Manage quarter end data requests ensuring timely and accurate submission to NBCU Corp and NBC Sports HQ
• Accounting system management including COA updates, cost center changes, attending trainings
• Oversight of Accounts payable including approvals, super user function and ensuring expenses are properly classified for RSN HQ invoices
• Manage lease accounting and ensure KLT lease tool is accurate and up to date
• Review of monthly partnership financial statements for proper recognition and presentation
• Assist with the internal and external audit process
• Act as liaison with RSN local finance directors for accounting and financial reporting issues
• Identify and implement opportunities for efficiency and optimization
• Perform other duties and participate in ad hoc projects, as necessary

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum five (5) year's hands on accounting or finance experience
• Minimum three (3) year's in public accounting or internal audit

• Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice
• Must be willing to work in Stamford, CT
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older

Desired Characteristics
• CPA and/or MBA, a plus
• Previous experience managing a team, a plus
