Responsibilities
NBC News Digital is looking for an experienced Motion Graphics Artist to join its design and animation unit. The ideal candidate should have proven expertise and be comfortable working in a multi-platform digital video production environment. They will work together with a group of designers, animators and producers to create compelling motion graphics content. This person should be passionate about visual storytelling and should be ready to juggle short and long-term projects.

This position is represented by the News Guild – NY.

Responsibilities:
• Collaborate closely with producers in the conceptualization of graphics to help drive storytelling and enrich scripts
• Design and execute animations for a variety of digital platforms and digital content, both short and long-form
• Partner with a team of animators, designers and editors in the creation and implementation of motion graphics
• Design and maintain graphics templates utilized by production team and partners
• Work on multiple projects, simultaneously, with tight deadlines

Qualifications/Requirements
- At least 5+ years relevant professional work experience
- Must have a portfolio with extraordinary digital content

that showcases an expertise in modern design

fundamentals, motion design and storytelling across a

variety of platforms and applications
- Expertise in After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator
- Social media savvy and a passion for emerging

technologies, tools and workflows
- Proven news judgment and high-ethical standards

Desired Characteristics
- Experience in Cinema 4D or Maya preferred
- Experience in illustration and traditional animation preferred
- Strong typography and editorial design skills preferred
