Especially targeting the Japan market which has a long history of manga and openness to new comics, we are looking for a talent who has the eye to select manuscripts and launch them in high-quality translations, communicate seamlessly with various stakeholders, and operate the localization process of global webtoon content with delicate understanding of Japanese Manga and fluent Japanese communication skills.

In this position, you will:

1. Manage Japanese localization of global Naver Webtoon

- Select Korean/global works of Naver Webtoon for Japanese market.

- Produce and manage Japanese manuscripts through affiliated translators

- Drive and manage the development of translation guide apt for the Japanese market

2. Manage localization translators from the affiliated vendors

- Closely manage translated manuscripts and engage with internal stakeholders for ad-hoc matters

- Own the linguistic quality of manuscripts while keeping in mind of the deadline

- Oversee and execute the localization budget for your projects

- Plan and implement process to improve cooperative workflow between Naver webtoon and translators

3. Content Operations Management

- Research and report on the Japanese Manga market

- Plan and launch promotion of new Webtoon based on keen data analysis

■Basic Qualifications

- Loves manga/webtoon and has great understanding of the Japanese media market.

- Excellent oral, written, and spoken Japanese skills

- Bachelor's degree or higher.

- 3+ years of relevant experience

- Full capacity to work with computer programs like MS office

- Available to travel overseas

- Fluent in Korean and is available to work in Korea (Japanese national/Korean-Japanese included)
