This position will support the Digital and Social Analytics & Insights function at the MTV Entertainment Group and work with teams across Social Strategy, Development, Editorial, Marketing, Press, and Research (linear, streaming, audience development, consumer insights, data science)!
We are currently looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Manager to help scale our franchise groups' performances.
This individual will be responsible for contributing and building in-depth analysis of performance and trends on social and digital platforms including competitive intelligence, case studies, and supporting management in the development of overall digital strategies across the unscripted and scripted franchise groups within MTVE. In this role you will help build out the research team, establish constructive relationships across internal teams and set up processes to provide actionable insights and identify opportunities to grow KPIs.
Specific Responsibilities
• Own reporting and communication about all MTVE unscripted and scripted franchises (point person for Social Strategy, Audience Development, P+ teams etc.)
• Start-to-end ownership of reports, presentations, and other deliverables to provide strategic recommendations for MTV Entertainment group
• Train and mentor direct reports (manager and analyst)
• Support the development of custom content, editorial voice and audience growth
• Work closely with data science team for platform insights and for streamlining existing processes
Basic Qualifications
• Minimum of 4 years' experience with social analytics, minimum 3 years of team management
• Strong knowledge of social media analytics (Facebook Insights, Snapchat Analytics, Conviva, YouTube Analytics, Listenfirst, Tubular, Social Content Ratings, etc.), Social Listening (Talkwalker) and data management tools (DOMO, etc)
• Strong knowledge of Adobe Omniture or other analytics tools (i.e., Google Analytics)
• Strong strategic problem solver, with a passion for television and digital media
• Ability to build and tell a story through data in the form of presentations and other deliverables
• Computer proficiency with strong Microsoft Office skills is essential (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Experience using Tableau or PowerBI for data analysis and dashboards
Additional Qualifications
• Highly organized and extremely detail-oriented with the ability to work under pressure, set priorities, handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
• Proactive self-starter who takes initiative, and can work well both independently and with others
• Experience with Python, SQL, R
