KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Director of MSNBC Finance will own operational finance responsibilities for the MSNBC brand, working closely with the SVP of Finance for MSNBC and the CFO of NBC News Group. Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Own day to day financial operations for MSNBC to establish a deep understanding of production costs for MSNBC
• Support all MSNBC Non-TV initiatives focused on driving growth and alternative revenue streams
• Partner with MSNBC operational leaders (Show Executive Producers, Newsgathering, HR, and others) to support responsible business decision making
• Run the monthly and quarterly close processes, inclusive of actuals reporting and detailed variance analysis
• Manage the forecasting / planning for all MSNBC work streams, and support News Group FP&A team for Long Range Plan, Estimates, and Op Review pitches
• Manage team of two with a focus on coaching and career advancement

Qualifications/Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS
• 8+ years of professional experience in accounting, finance, or related field
• Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Finance or Accounting.

Desired Characteristics
• Proven experience working with production finance
• Analytical mindset, curiosity, and initiative; expertise in leveraging and analyzing financial data to drive strategic decision making
• Ability to work across multiple functions and teams in a collaborative environment
• Strong oral and written communication skills, with ability to present to Senior Executives
• MBA and or CPA highly preferred
• Proven leadership skills and prior experience managing a team
• Excellent technical and analytical skills
