Who are we hiring?
The Performance Coach is responsible for the creation, organization and implementation of strength and conditioning programs for the Knicks G-League team. This role will be responsible for designing and implementing strength and conditioning programs for each athlete. When not supporting the G-League, this role will support the needs of the NY Knicks.
What will you do?
• Assist with player testing for Westchester and New York Knick ( as needed).
• Track and log all relevant data for players club's online data management systems.
• Lead management, programming and delivery of all strength, conditioning, and recovery protocols for the G-League team in
• Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of the weight room and equipment.
• Work collaboratively with the athletic training staff to provide athlete care and return to play programming for injured athletes.
• Communicate all key information regarding players to senior staff in both Westchester and New York
• Lead team warmups and player movement preparation sessions for practices and games.
• Travel to all games and practices for the Westchester Knicks.
• Assist with off-season training with the New York Knicks, including pre-draft workouts and Summer League as needed.
• Complete all tasks related to player health and performance as requested by senior staff for Westchester and New York.
• Complete tasks with New York when G-League season ends
What do you need to s/ucceed?
• Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science or related field.
• CSCS certification through the NSCA.
• CPR/AED certification.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Strength & Conditioning Coach.
• Excellent time management skills and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Post-graduate degree in Exercise Science or related field.
• Experience in a Division 1 Basketball or Professional Basketball setting.
• Experience using Force Plates and movement tracking devices
• Experience with Athlete Management Systems (AMS) and programming software (e.g., Bridge Athletic)
Special Requirements
• Ability to travel and work within the United State and Canada.
• Ability to work long/flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50Lbs and carry out dynamic demands of sports rehabs.
Pay Range
$89,000 - $89,000 USD
