The Role:

We have an exciting opening for a Senior Licensing Designer, working within the Consumer Products & Experiences (CPE) division here at Moonbug. This person will be responsible for ideating, concepting and producing various style guides for licensing, with a particular focus on softlines.

This role is a great opportunity for someone with a graphic design / fashion graphic design / illustration background, to work within the global CPE team. You will be working collaboratively with product development and category leads to grow the ecosystem around the Moonbug shows, bringing our IP's to life in new and inventive ways.

The successful candidate should be autonomous, organised, creative, self-motivated with a strong attention to detail.

They should also work well within a team, using great communication skills to navigate stakeholder feedback creating solutions that meet all requirements.

The role is within a busy team where they should meet committed deadlines and be great at working collaboratively within a global environment.

Responsibilities:
• Hands-on design of world-class style guides that embody and enhance our IPs within the consumer products space.
• Lead on trend research, facilitating the trend focus groups with wider teams.
• Manage external design agency resource, providing art direction and feedback from concept to completion.
• Working closely with internal stakeholders, such as the creative design team and product development team to ensure design work meets brand guidelines and there is consistency in brand design illustrations.
• Provide creative direction, inspiration, and feedback to licensing team.
• Create product pitches and new product design visuals as required.
• Support the needs of the wider team as required including involvement in design projects.
• Develop and maintain a good knowledge of current trends in within the design for the kid's demographic.

Requirements:
• Experience of working with kids design concepts
• Extensive experience of working in consumer product creative teams, either with a licensor, licensee, retailer or IP owner.
• Knowledge of trends within the softlines industry specifically and the broader world of design with working knowledge of common manufacturing techniques and their application in production.
• Advanced skills within the Adobe suite.
• An ability to communicate a clear design brief using freehand drawing and computer techniques.
• Strong presentation skills with the ability to effectively present design ideas to internal/external stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong organisational and prioritization skills
• Ability to influence and achieve buy-in at all levels.
• Fluent English, essential; other European languages, beneficial.
• Computer literate including Mac OSX, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and MS Office.
