Animation Development + Production Executive

Job Description

Modern Magic is hiring a development + production executive to work in animated television and film.

We are seeking candidates who are inspired by our company mission: producing groundbreaking, creatively bold, impactful animated entertainment for a broad, 21st-century audience.

The ideal applicants have experience and relationships within the animation industry, strong convictions about the future of animation, and are scrappy, passionate, creative, excited about trying things in new ways, and curious about a wide range of genres, mediums, and ways to build immersive new story worlds.

Responsibilities include:

• supporting existing projects
• initiating and developing exciting new ones
• supporting existing Modern Magic partnerships and deals.
• developing or supporting relationships, partnerships, and other opportunities with the growing, global community of forward-looking artists, writers, animators, game designers, rights-holders, companies, studios, and financiers in all relevant areas
• strategizing and executing on company roadmap
• building company databases and project lists
• creating, updating, and maintaining both inward- and outward-facing production resources and documents
• interacting with a wide range of people in and out of Hollywood
• generally making stuff happen for a very active, rapidly maturing startup that’s thinking big
