Position Overview

The Production Technology Engineer will oversee live production support functions while interacting directly with internal event content personnel as well as broadcast partners. This hands-on position is expected to be primarily on-site at Target Field as the role maintains in-building technology related to all events. Remote work is available as job duties allow and is contingent upon the company Flexible Work Policy. Facilities include Target Field, the Twins Spring Training complex in Ft. Myers, FL, and the Twins Academy in the Dominican Republic (with occasional travel to these locations). This position will share game and event support with the Technology Services Manager and will require nights and weekends balanced by flexible hours. Our Technology Infrastructure environment and team offers exposure to many areas of IT infrastructure operations with opportunities for professional growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee maintenance and functionality of all video production equipment, including cameras, switchers, servers, graphics systems, and related peripherals.
• Contact person during live event production, including setup and operation of video/audio equipment, ensuring quality control, and troubleshooting of video production and computer networking issues.
• Oversee the Broadcast Compound to ensure all TV trucks have connectivity to their production locations, connectivity to the scoreboard room, and all audio/visual needs.
• Manage service, warranties, and projects with outside venders.
• Providing technical support to other departments within the organization, including event production, broadcasting, and media services.
• Maintain control room equipment ensuring compliance with information security policies and procedures on production related computer equipment.
• Collaborating with other members of the video production team to deliver high-quality video production for live events.
• Design and implementation of video production systems, including video switching, audio mixing, routing, and distribution.
• Document, track and monitor problems to ensure timely resolution.
• Troubleshoot and support users with video conferencing and other technology in conference rooms.
• Enhance troubleshooting skills by staying current with technology through seminars and education opportunities.
• Proactively contributes to the overall technological vision of the organization.

Required Experience and Education:
• Two-year degree in video production, engineering, computer networking or equivalent in work experience.

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift items weighing as much as 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work in a seated position for majority of workday.
• Must be able to be productive utilizing a computer, keyboard, and telephone.
• Must be able to be productive in a work environment where the noise level can be high at times.
• Specific vision abilities include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
• Must be comfortable walking to navigate the entire facility to support employee and venue technology.
• Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as required by deadlines and event scheduling
