Professional Acquisition Specialist - Baseball Operations

Overview

As part of the Baseball Operations Department, the Professional Acquisition Specialist will provide members of Baseball Operations leadership with in-depth player analysis for potential external targets across all avenues of professional player acquisition.

Core duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
• Provide detailed player analysis and scouting reports for assigned professional player acquisition targets via video, data, and occasional in person evaluation.
• Provide input to Director – Baseball Operations to inform the decision processes in professional acquisitions.
• Provide detailed and timely recommendations on available players of interest including but not limited to waiver claims, DFA's, free agents, and trade acquisition candidates.

The ideal candidate will have 3 years of experience in scouting or related fields, as well as an understanding of advanced baseball metrics and the ability to reach sound conclusions based on probabilities.
