BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of experience as Visual Effects Executive or VFX Producer.
10+ years of experience in big-budget films, preferably in heavy visual effects arenas.
Direct experience with budgeting, scheduling and cost reports.
Clear understanding of both domestic and global VFX tax incentives.

Amazon MGM Studios is looking for a seasoned, dynamic Visual Effects Executive to support global production efforts on all of its feature films.

The VFX Executive will be responsible for overseeing the budgets, schedules and overall visual effects plans and workflows for a slate of projects. The position will work closely with both internal and external partners, including studio Creative, Physical Production, Post-Production, and Business Affairs/Legal teams, as well as VFX vendors and filmmakers.

Key job responsibilities
Assist the Head of Production in building a robust departmental structure that oversees the visual effects needs on a demanding slate of films.
Collaborate with creative, production, post-production and finance teams in greenlighting and prepping films.
Collaborate with filmmakers to build trust and guide them in achieving their vision for the film while still maintaining the studio's expectation and managing to a budget.
Help recruit VFX teams such as VFX Supervisors, producers, production supervisors, coordinators, and editors
Work with VFX production teams to bid out shows, vet vendor-side teams, and award work.

Experience with a thorough reach of global VFX vendor partners.
Experience with a variety of digital media workflows and post production.
Excellent organization skills; ability to handle multiple projects at once.
Ability to prioritize and respond effectively in fast-paced environment, across shows in various points of production.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $191,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $316,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
