Senior Business Intelligence Engineer, Global Data & Analytics (GDA), MGM+
MGM+ is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Engineer to join our Global Data & Analytics (GDA) team in London. In this role, you will deliver critical data solutions that enable strategic decision-making and drive business performance across US domestic and International territories. You will work closely with the team's data engineers and data scientist to improve all analytics output and dashboards, working to harmonize insights and shape our understanding of key business metrics. This position requires strong judgment, excellent analytical skills and a creative mind to invent solutions that improve the customer experience.
Reporting into the Global GM, MGM+, as Senior BIE, Global you will work on critical projects to improve decision making and efficiency for the MGM+ business. You will connect data investments to business outcomes, enhance data strategy, support forecasting and projection workstreams, and conduct deep dive analyses to drive performance improvement. A strong understanding of AI and how to leverage it will be critical. This role offers broad exposure to various business, operational, financial, product and technical teams across MGM+ and Prime Video.
Key job responsibilities
- Based in London, you will be the senior technical lead for the EMEA time zone, ensuring continuous analytics and data support across global operations
- Own the design, development, and delivery of BI solutions including dashboards, data models, and analytics that drive strategic decision-making
- Extract, validate, manipulate large datasets (streaming data, financial data, operational metrics) and turn them into actionable insights
- Partner with Data Engineering to improve the global data warehouse, contributing to data architecture decisions and providing technical coverage across time zones
- Establish and maintain data quality standards, documentation practices, and reproducibility frameworks
- Serve as the primary technical resource for advanced Excel, SQL, and Python analytics in the London office, elevating team capabilities through hands-on mentorship.
- Leverage a technical skillset to plan and implement performant Data Architecture while championing automation initiatives
- Co-own the team's AI long-term vision planning and execution
- Conduct deep dive and root-cause analysis that translate actionable insights into practical recommendations for senior leadership
- Strengthen relationships with Prime Video Data and Finance teams to bridge data gaps for MGM+ and ensure consistent practice across the wider streaming business
- Write clear documentation of designs to ensure ease of use and maintainability by others

Our Global Data & Analytics (GDA) team powers data-driven decision-making across content strategy, marketing, finance, and operations, enabling MGM+ to deliver exceptional entertainment experiences to our subscribers across multiple distribution channels.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
- Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs
- Experience with SQL
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience in the data/BI space
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience working as a BIE in a technology company
