Job Description
The ideal candidate has extensive experience in giving creative guidance and feedback to show runners on outlines, scripts, and cuts and is fully versed in top talent - writers, directors, producers, actors - working in the region. Must have strong interpersonal skills and deep relationships within the industry, and excellent creative instincts on material. For this role, we are seeking someone who can apply their comprehensive knowledge of television landscape to identify & source development opportunities.

Key job responsibilities
- Build relationships with show creators and creative community
- Assess pilot proposals, scripts, and pitches
- Work with writers and artists to develop series ideas and scripts
- Supervise production when series are greenlit
- Primary liaison to other departments including Marketing, Press, Research, and Business and Legal Affairs.
- Manage a team of creative executives
About the team
The International Originals team provides customers around the world a compelling offering of authentic, culturally-relevant brand-defining TV and Movies that are broadly appealing, create word-of-mouth fans and advocates, and keep customers excited and proud to be Prime subscribers. To achieve this, we aim to differentiate our shows from other services by investing more dedicated time, resources, and budget to ensure we are raising the quality bar for local content, attracting the best on/off-screen local talent, and delivering content which has potential to reach the cultural zeitgeist in its home country (and potentially beyond).
Basic Qualifications
- 10+ years of executive level in development at a studio, network or production company experience
- 5+ years of creative executive experience
- 5+ years of entertainment deal making, representing or working for a major scripted production company, studio, network, record label, or music publisher experience
- Experience with scripted and unscripted storytelling, live-action as well as animation workflows
- Bachelor's degree in Film, Television, Communications, or a related field
- Experience in unscripted TV content development and commissioning as a Senior Producer or Creative Executive at a proven unscripted production company, network, or studio
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in entertainment deal making, representing or working for a major scripted production company, studio or network
- Master's degree in Film, Business, or a related field
- 3+ years leading a team of managers within a content or entertainment organization
- Experience working with or for a major streaming platform, broadcast network, or studio
- Experience contributing to or owning long-range content strategy (3+ year horizon)
- Experience establishing scalable development processes or content evaluation frameworks
