Executive Director, Alternative Podcasts

Job Description

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. (''MGM'') is seeking an Executive Director to help manage and oversee podcasts across the Alternative TV department. The successful candidate must have a wide range of experience overseeing and producing podcasts. Experience at a network, production company, agency or management company preferred.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Coverage of current podcasts in production, which entails creative oversight in weekly meetings and provide edits/notes on our four current podcasts (Going to Bed With Garcelle, Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader, Paternity Court, Unprotected Sets)
• Review incoming podcast pitches, and screen all pitches for podcast viability
• Work with podcast partner (AudioUp) across budgets, productions, ad sales and sponsorship opportunities
• Run point on podcast PR, social, and marketing to maximize reach of podcasts in production
• Develop new podcasts, both scripted and unscripted, by sourcing IP and talent
• Contribute ideas and potential podcast IP to Unscripted and Orion Alternative development teams

Requirements:
• BA/BS degree required
• Minimum 1 year of prior experience in Podcasts
• Must have experience working in Keynote, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel and Photoshop
• Must be able to quickly acclimate to an incredibly fast-paced environment and be able to anticipate needs
• Ability to work with confidential and sensitive information in a discrete manner
• Excellent time management, organization and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy are of the highest importance
• Must be creative and an idea generator
• Must be self-motivated, have the ability to take initiative and be proactive in all matters
• Ability to work both independently and with a team
