Who are we hiring?
The Staff Accountant supports MSGE Corporate Accounting in day-to-day operations, as well as monthly and quarterly accounting close. The Staff Accountant will provide on-going financial support to various corporate departments. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for completing journal entries, account reconciliations, and support for the Corporate Accounting team.
What will you do?
• Responsible for the timely coordination and preparation of monthly close deliverables including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Issue monthly results report for various Corporate Departments
• Partner with FP&A to understand variances to budget and forecast
• Collaborate with Internal and External Auditors on requests
• Assist in the preparation of quarterly tax deliverables
• Help improve company-wide utilization of financial systems to enhance accuracy and timeliness of reporting.
• Support the Corporate Accounting groups day-to-day activities.
• Complete special projects as assigned.
What do you need to succeed?
• BS or BA required preferred degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of relevant experience with Corporate Controllership or Accounting functions
• Big 4 public accounting and CPA preferred
• Strong understanding of monthly close process
• Exposure to financial statements, account analyses and reconciliations
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong Excel skills
• Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and open to learning new ways of working.
• Ability to embrace change with a flexible mindset, even if the way forward isn't clear.
• Ability to be a reliable team member, capable of effective collaboration to achieve our shared goals across teams and departments.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.

Pay Range
$57,000 - $80,000 USD
