Position Summary

Assists both MoCap Supervisor and Virtual Production Engineer on set to provide ongoing care and upkeep of virtual production and mocap systems including machines, cameras, tracking objects, cabling, and AV signal flow. Responsible for coordinating and carrying out consistent calibration practices with camera department to ensure quality data stream between mocap and virtual production departments.

Primary Responsibilities
• Ongoing care and upkeep of virtual production and mocap systems including machines, cameras, tracking objects, cabling and AV signal flow
• Assist with setup of all StageCraft equipment including workstations, monitors, networking and motion capture systems
• Assist with Vicon hardware adjustments as directed by MoCap Lead
• Creating and adjusting markers as needed
• Responsible for fixing the tracking object and moving cameras as needed
• Collaborate with camera department on set to carry out calibration workflows between takes or lens changes
• Assist periodically with supporting Virtual Production Engineer on media systems
• Assist with daily calibration of the volume and calibration of new tracking objects

Education / Experience
• On set experience, preferably in a mocap, virtual production or camera department role

Required Skills / Competencies
• Knowledge of basic A/V signal flow
• Basic Linux, Windows and OSX configuration skills
• Knowledge of basic motion capture tracking workflows
