Position at Industrial Light & Magic

Be able to fulfil the role of Senior Paint and Roto Artist.

Lead a team on a given (manageable) project under the combined supervision of the Department Supervisor and the shows Compositing Supervisor.

Primary Responsibilities
• Brief and manage the reviewing of Outsourced shots.
• Review internal paint/roto shots.
• Provide technical support for their team.
• Be involved in/contribute to show wide pipeline challenges.
• Be a role model for all junior artists.
• (In some cases) Manage the expectations of Compositors – work closely with Compositors/Comp Leads to ensure an efficient/effective route to the desired goal.
• Maintain a close relationship with Production and be a point person for both Production and Supervisors (etc)
• Begin to be involved in the bidding of shots.

Job Requirements
• Must have experience as a Senior Career Paint Artist / preferably with previous Leading experience.
• Composed and responsible in high-stress situations.
• Role model – both in attitude and technical approach.
• Good communicative/collaborative skills.
