THE JOB

Reporting to the Head of Venue IT, the Vice President of Venue Network Services is a senior leader in the organization. This individual will lead a talented and diversified team across North America. The VP of Venue Network Services will partner with Executive Management, Divisional Leadership, Internal support teams and strategic vendors to ensure that the company is a technology leader in the live entertainment space and delivering differentiated value to our Venues, Artists and Fans. Additionally, the role will include leading Large Strategic Projects including the planning, implementation and ensuring day-two support is properly aligned.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
• Lead effective, high performing Network Engineering and Venue IT teams, developing key talent, ensuring continuous improvement in staff competencies, skills and knowledge
• Communicate a clear vision and ensure ongoing maintained focus
• Establish and maintain business relationships with senior level internal and external partners
• Thoroughly understand Venue environments and Operations through numerous venue site visits and on-site event coverage
• Develop and maintain a budget and assist others within the broader IT community with costing and estimating exercises
• Establishes and enforces infrastructure policies, best practices, processes, systems, standards and methodologies
• Develops key performance indicators to observe trends, measure and report on the health and operational stability of the infrastructure services
• Identifies appropriate technologies for IT infrastructure/operations initiatives and produces technology-driven innovations to further facilitate business objectives. Proactively advises on technology options and innovation for the business; educates business stakeholders on relevant technology capabilities
• Closely work with the Information Security team to adhere to compliance and all security requirements, and standards

• Extensive experience working with vendors and ensuring successful delivery of services
• Ability to ''manage up/out'' to build rapport and establish trust from senior management and other departments
• Ability to reprioritize tasks rapidly without missing deadlines in an ever-changing business
• Identify risk of missing deadlines and collaboratively resolve conflicts
• Must have a successful track record functioning as a leader and positive/motivational force when managing a team; including identifying and resolving conflicts within teams; negotiating skillfully in difficult situations with both internal and external groups; developing compromise and solutions
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization
• Ability to manage geographically diverse staff and resources in both daily operations and event support
• Proven ability to establish operational procedures, technical direction and standards
• Willingness/ability to work off-shifts (evening and weekends) to support and/or lead Incident Management during critical events
• Willingness to travel up to 30%, possibly more during peak season (March – October)
