Job Description
WHO ARE YOU?
You're someone who gets excited about building things that don't fully exist yet. You love solving problems, improving systems, and saying, ''What if we tried this?'' You have a junior developer mindset, a strong curiosity for how things work, and you're eager to be hands-on with real technology in real venues.
If you love both coding and live events, and you want to grow alongside a team that's actively shaping new digital experiences for fans, you're in the right place.
THE ROLE
This isn't a static support position - it's a hybrid builder/support role where you'll help develop new tools, support emerging fan tech (like QR-based ordering), and keep core venue technology running smoothly during shows.
You'll work closely with venue leadership to help design, test, and improve digital workflows, while also jumping in to troubleshoot POS, networking, and staff systems during events. As we roll out new tools, you'll help shape the code, test features, collect feedback, and iterate.
We're building this together - and you'll be part of the foundation.
This role includes event-driven hours (evenings/weekends/holidays) and occasional extended days for concerts or festivals. A vehicle is an asset for traveling between venues.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
Event and Venue IT Support:
• Provide onsite IT troubleshooting assistance to venue administrative, operations, and production staff.
• Deliver proactive ''day of show'' IT support to ensure POS systems and access control technologies are fully operational before gates open.
• Serve as an onsite IT resource for touring production teams, offering real-time assistance during events.
Issue Management and Resolution:
• Identify, track, and help resolve persistent IT issues, escalating to remote support or service delivery teams as needed.
• Ensure venue technology problems are reported and addressed promptly, following established escalation procedures.
Infrastructure, Network & Equipment Support:
• Assist with deployment, maintenance, and inventory management of onsite IT equipment, including POS terminals, network hardware, and workstations.
• Support the extension or upgrade of IT infrastructure for special events such as festivals or private functions.
Seasonal Operations:
• Participate in seasonal IT preparations, including equipment setup, testing, and validation before events.
• Assist with shutdown and winterization activities to ensure equipment is properly stored and maintained.
Network and System Management:
• Develop and demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of venue network connectivity and deployed technologies.
• Troubleshoot network-related issues to maintain seamless communication and connectivity across venues.
Communication and Collaboration:
• Help establish clear communication channels between all teams in the venue to ensure IT issues are reported and resolved efficiently.
• Work closely with remote IT teams to align on technical needs and implement long-term solutions.
Digital Tools and & App:
• Collaborate on the development and iteration of internal and fan-facing digital tools, including a lightweight venue operations app.
• Work with React / Next.js to support UI updates, feature enhancements, and bug fixes in existing codebases.
• Assist with backend integrations using Supabase (auth, database, and basic edge functions) to support app features.
• Support API connections and data flows related to venue operations, alerts, and fan-facing experiences.
• Use Figma designs as a source of truth to help translate approved UI/UX into working application components.
• Help test features, validate functionality in live environments, gather user feedback, and iterate quickly.
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
Technical Expertise:
• Strong knowledge of Apple iOS, MS Windows, and network technologies, with hands-on experience in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• Familiarity with IT ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow) and inventory management tools is an asset.
