Working Hours: Full time, permanent

Role Description

An exciting opportunity now exists for a Trainee Assistant Manager. This position is best suited to candidates who want to gain valuable experience in a managerial role, with advancement potential in the live entertainment industry. The Trainee Assistant Manager works under the supervision of the General Manager of the venue and their goal is to acquire all essential knowledge across all the Live Nation Ireland venues and become a future Assistant Manager. The successful candidate will have previous customer facing management experience and a desire to progress their career in the live entertainment industry.

• To be considered for this position you will have previous supervisory/management experience in a similar industry (event/hospitality customer facing role) and a desire to progress your career in the live entertainment industry
• Highly motivated and driven individual with a willingness to learn

• Strong administration skills, organised and efficient
• Open to working flexible hours and locations required in the live entertainment industry

Structure of the programme

The Trainee Assistant Manager will rotate across our four venues – 3Arena, Bord Gais Energy Theatre, Gaiety Theatre and 3Olympia Theatre, spending approximately 6 - 9 months in each venue, gaining exposure and experience in the following areas:
• Front of House Operations
• Facilities Management
• Technical Department
• Retail Management
• Human Resources Management, Health and Safety Management,Financial Awareness
• Support and assist senior management with adhoc projects

A detailed department rotation and training plan will be developed for each area.

Assigned Mentor

The Trainee Assistant Manager will be assigned a mentor in each venue. The mentor will be a nominated Senior Manager of the venue and will conduct one to one performance meeting on a bi-monthly basis. The Human Resources Manager, Live Nation Ireland will be in attendance at this meeting. The assigned venue mentor will coach and nurture the Assistant Trainee Manager on a daily basis, ensuring all learning outcomes are met in line with the department rotation and training plan.

External Training

It is envisaged the Trainee Assistant Manager will complete the following external training:
• IOSH (Health and Safety)
• Live Nation New Manager Workshop
• Leadership Development Training – Leadership, coaching, conflict management and negotiation skills
• Train the Trainer
• First Aid Training
• Fire Warden Training
• Security Awareness Training
• Finance for non financial managers
