The Role:

We are currently looking for a Sr. Accountant to oversee critical accounting functions for various locations in the Greater Boston Area.

What You'll Need:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or Finance
• 1-3 years of accounting experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint)
• Possess excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to problem solve.
• Ability to work 8+ hours daily, Monday – Friday during normal business hours. Normal business hours in this case are 10am – 6pm. You may be required to work late, or on a weekend and/or holiday during month end close. Month end close consists of the last day of the month through the first week of the month. Must be able to multi-task, follow up, communicate with staff/management in a positive manner, be organized and meet strict deadlines.
• Oracle experience a plus
• COVID-19 vaccination will be required for this position subject to legally valid exemptions

What You'll Do:
• Manage all money requests (e.g., wires, cash, show checks) for production and/or show settlement
• Reconcile monthly bank accounts in a timely manner and make sure to communicate any outstanding items. Provide ownership for these accounts and make any changes necessary based on the review process.
• Review show settlement immediately following the show and work with operations team who settle the show
• Prepare event P&L (or flash) and event related journal entries.
• Review and monitor Oracle event reports for reasonableness.
• Finalize shows no later than sixty days after the event date.
• Make sure that all receivables, receipts, and payable items are processed and recorded accurately and timely; participate in and monitor collection of receivables; submit and file rent calculations and lease payments.
• Maintain barter file/log for all barter deals, preparing both transaction reports for each event and the quarterly barter activity report.
• Own G/L for your selected theater/club venues.
• Prepare and maintain balance sheet and other financials.
• Flash and maintain Special Events at the venues you are responsible for.
• Oversee month-end close, and accrual entries and SOX required reporting.
• Assist Accountants and Managers with special projects as assigned.
• Oversee and review work of accountants and income auditors.
