Job Description
THE TEAM
The Core Data Services (CDS) team is the backbone of our enterprise data and analytics initiatives. We are building a scalable, modern data platform that powers business intelligence, analytics, and AI across the organization. Our mission is to make trusted data accessible and actionable-enabling data-driven decision-making across all business functions.
You will be part of the Delivery Engineering and Architecture group within CDS, working alongside platform engineers, data engineers, and solution architects to design and deliver high-impact data solutions for the enterprise.
THE ROLE
As a Senior Solution Architect within the Core Data Services (CDS) team, you will be an individual contributor responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing end-to-end data warehouse and analytics solutions. You will work closely with data engineers, platform teams, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical designs that support real-time, high-volume, and low-latency use cases.
This role sits at the intersection of architecture, engineering, and execution-you will define standards, build solutions, and guide teams on best practices in data platform design, ETL development, performance tuning, and cost optimization.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
You are a hands-on, technically strong Solution Architect who thrives on designing and delivering large-scale, high-performance data solutions. You have deep experience across the modern data stack - from ETL development and data modeling to cloud-scale architecture and API-based integrations. You are not just a strategist; you build, optimize, and get things done.
You communicate clearly, collaborate effectively across teams, and take pride in delivering reliable, scalable, and cost-efficient data platforms. If you enjoy solving complex data challenges and driving architecture decisions that shape enterprise-scale systems, this role is for you.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
• Design & Architecture: Define and implement modern data warehouse architecture and frameworks, covering data modeling, ETL pipelines, orchestration, storage, and access patterns.
• Build & Deliver: Develop scalable data solutions leveraging Databricks, AWS, and other modern tools to handle large-scale, high-frequency data workloads.
• Integration & APIs: Design and build APIs and data integration layers to enable interoperability across systems and real-time data access.
• Optimization & Reliability: Continuously improve performance, scalability, and cost efficiency across ETL processes, compute environments, and data delivery systems.
• Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams-including Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, and Analytics-to align technical solutions with business outcomes.
• Data Governance & Standards: Champion best practices for data quality, lineage, metadata management, and compliance.
• Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Create architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and design templates to support reuse and consistency across the organization.
TECHNICAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in data engineering or architecture roles, with strong expertise in data warehousing and distributed data systems.
• Proven experience building large-scale, high-throughput data pipelines using Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake, S3, and related technologies.
• Deep understanding of ETL/ELT design, data modeling, and data integration patterns (batch and streaming).
• Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and familiarity with API development and orchestration tools.
• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and tools such as Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a bias for action and ownership.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
• Knowledge of data governance, lineage, and security best practices.
• Certifications in AWS, Databricks, or related technologies are a plus.
Why Join Us
• Be part of a team that is building the next-generation enterprise data platform from the ground up.
• Work on high-volume, low-latency data challenges that directly impact business performance.
• Collaborate with talented peers across engineering, architecture, and product teams.
• Have the autonomy to design, innovate, and implement best-in-class data solutions.
BENEFITS & PERKS
