JOB DESCRIPTION – Senior Project Manager

Location: Flexible/Remote/UK

Division: Global Salesforce Technology

Line Manager: Senior Programme Manager - Salesforce Technology

Contract Terms: 1 year FTC

THE TEAM

This role is a core function within our Global IT and Salesforce Technology department and will report to the Senior Director, Global Salesforce Architecture (who will lead the programme), with a dotted line to the Senior Programme Manager. This role will work in partnership with the third-party service integration team, internal project team and the Global Salesforce PMO function.

The Global Salesforce Team supports B2B Salesforce across the entire Ticketmaster business globally, with core teams located in North America and the United Kingdom . We support several Salesforce orgs and nearly 2,000 users in 25+ countries. The team operates within the broader Salesforce footprint of our corporate parent, Live Nation.

The Global Salesforce Team is a service organization dedicated to delivering world-class enabling technology to the global Ticketmaster and International Live Nation businesses. As such, the team prides itself on building and maintaining close relationships with business leaders as well as developing a deep understanding of the business processes and challenges they face every day. Every member of the team has a business-first, technology-second mindset.

The service organization ethos fully applies internally to our team as well. We pride ourselves on supporting each other, putting our heads together to solve problems, and collaborating to maximize each individual's skills and potential.

The team is tasked with assuring that the Salesforce platform and its associated technologies are properly maintained following best practice methodologies and importantly following our global data privacy and governance models, our audit and compliance policies and procedures, along with ensuring our systems are kept safe and secure following both IT, Compliance, Data Privacy and Information Security policies.

This role will support the merging of two Salesforce organizations as well as implementing new features.

THE JOB

This role is an internal senior project manager role, which will require you to work as an integrated team with the third party systems integrator project manager on some if not all of the activities and managing the internal project team across both the eastern United States and United Kingdom.

Due to the nature of this role, it is important to clarify the difference between this role and the 'Delivery Project Manager' (part of the Third Party Systems Integration team). The systems integrator's Delivery Project Manager will deliver the core scope, manage the development and merging of the two Salesforce orgs in line with business processes, and testing. As the internal PM you will be responsible for managing the internal groups and users to integrate the project into the organization, managing the delivery of internal workstreams which need to be integrated into the programme; and managing the dependencies on any other internal or external projects that may impact the overall project goals.

In particular this role will:
• Manage how our Ticketmaster organisation interfaces with the third party service integrators.
• Control this relationship to ensure a consistent message and prevent problems and unnecessary changes.
• Maintain the commercial contract with the Service Integrator along with the Senior Director Salesforce Architecture, monitoring the achievement of milestones.
• Ensure that the values of the service integration organisation and project are aligned with Ticketmaster.
• Maintain the link from the project to the strategy and the outcomes of the organisation.
• Lead the relationship with the third party system integration organisation by example, especially when the going gets tough.
• Create an environment for success, setting the tone for the project and establishing that Ticketmaster is committed to success, while acknowledging and dealing with issues.
• Take a more strategic, benefits and outcome view of the programme

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
• Be jointly responsible with the Third-Party System Integration Project Manager for delivering to quality, on time and on budget
• Build and maintain relationships with business stakeholders.
• Work with the Programme and Senior Programme Manager to define and set up the programme documentation so it clearly defined the scope, aims, objectives and benefits with the right resources assigned to ensure programme success.

• Define how objectives are shaped and documented to enable stakeholder understanding and buy in to required activities and outcomes
• Compile, assess and sequence required deliverables and activities against plan including updates to documentation, stakeholders and team
• Integrate planning appropriately into Ticketmaster delivery approaches.
• Ensure plans are developed with the right tools (e.g. PowerPoint, Excel, Smartsheet) to a sufficient level of detail appropriate to the size/scale and complexity of the programme. Plans should include details on activities, timescales, linkages/dependencies, constraints, milestones and outputs, as well as highlighting resources, risks and associated costs.
• Make efficient and effective use of relevant data and tools (e.g. Microsoft Excel) to collate, process, forecast, manage and present programme data.
• Set up and provide ongoing management of robust programme controls, methodologies and reporting measures as appropriate to the scale and complexity of the work.
• Includes: change control, scope management, forecasting, resource management (including people, assets, tools, information), budgeting and cost management, quality assurance, risk/opportunities and issues management.
• Create and amend appropriate internal programme reporting so progress can be captured and reviewed, updates and briefings disseminated as required by the programme. Respond to questions of clarification and change as the focal point for the organisation, ensuring a consistent message.
• Apply logical thinking during the process or management of gathering and analyzing information, forming, and testing hypotheses and/or designing and testing solutions. Based on the information gathered, interpret analysis and articulate data in a form that contributes to enhanced decision making and successful programme delivery.
• Work with the Change Manager to support leading others through change management activities which enable the delivery of programme objectives. Understand the issues and dynamics of behavioral change on people, process and organization.
• Make efficient and effective use of tools (e.g. PowerPoint) to produce and deliver appropriate and compelling presentations and documents.
