Job Description
THE JOB
Live Nation's Media & Sponsorship team is seeking a Director of Digital Planning & Strategy to lead the development and execution of digital media campaigns for high-impact partnerships. You will collaborate closely with National and Local Sales, Marketing, Finance, and other internal teams to ensure flawless campaign planning, activation, optimization, and reporting. You will also play a critical role in internal training, process improvements, and client communications.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

Pre-Sale Responsibilities
• Partner with Sales teams to respond to RFPs for major digital partnerships.
• Participate in kickoff strategy calls with Sales and Marketing.
• Build cohesive, multi-platform media plans in coordination with relevant departments.
• Provide supporting materials to Sales including audience descriptions and technical specs.
• Review Insertion Orders before submission to senior leadership.
Post-Sale (Internal Coordination)
• Communicate finalized plans to Finance.
• Submit Booking Requests to appropriate teams.
• Organize and lead internal campaign kickoff calls.
• Oversee campaign execution, ensuring full delivery and optimization throughout flight.
• Gather monthly billing information and coordinate with Finance.
• Develop wrap decks with campaign insights and future recommendations.
Post-Sale (Client Management)
• Collect and traffic digital assets from client/agency.
• Confirm campaign launch and deliver launch screenshots within 48 hours.
• Monitor campaign performance and implement optimizations as needed.
• Communicate performance updates and optimizations to client.
• Manage revisions to media plans, IOs, and creative assets.
• Send delivery reports to clients on a mutually agreed schedule.
Team Collaboration & Management
• Join client meetings with Sales as needed.
• Conduct quarterly check-ins with individual Sales partners.
• Lead bi-weekly meetings with Planning team to assess live campaigns and identify upsell opportunities.
• Share bi-weekly campaign updates and top-line revenue summaries with senior management.
• Oversee onboarding and training for new hires; help develop and formalize training processes.
• Assist in rolling out new tools or processes; lead relevant training sessions.
• Handle international digital planning requests.
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
• 7+ years in digital media planning or strategy, preferably in media, agency, or entertainment industries.
• Experience leading strategic digital campaigns for large-scale clients or sponsorships.
• Proven success in campaign execution, optimization, and performance reporting.
• Previous experience managing direct reports or onboarding junior team members.
• Deep understanding of digital media landscape including programmatic, display, video, and social platforms.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable interfacing with senior stakeholders and clients.
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and digital media platforms (e.g., Google Campaign Manager, DSPs).
• Highly collaborative, team-oriented approach with a proactive and solution-driven mindset.

The expected compensation for this position is:
$80,000 – $95,000
** Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
