Contract Terms: Permanent

THE TEAM

The IT Operations Team are primarily responsible for the design, administration and support of public (SaaS) and private (AWS) cloud infrastructure serving the corporate offices of Live Nation Entertainment (LNE) in the EMEA region.

Additional responsibilities: managing supporting security, networking & application platforms, performing business integrations, implementing corporate policies & standards, reporting metrics & compliance, and providing guidance & support to other teams across the region.

THE JOB

We have an exciting opportunity for a senior engineer to lead design and administration activities in our AWS infrastructure, critical to the effective running of our businesses.

There will be the opportunity to build a team and deliver new technologies on this platform. The successful candidate will be working with our Development and Operations teams in the EMEA region and beyond.

The role will be London based, following a hybrid working model.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
• Fulfilling the role of Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the AWS environment.
• Providing infrastructure, software & solutions that are reliable, highly available, affordable, scalable and secure, to support our applications' development and production environments.
• Securing corporate systems from unauthorised access, ensuring auditing & logging meet all regulatory & compliance requirements; identifying, reporting and remediating security issues & vulnerabilities promptly.
• Conducting system and data integrations resulting from business acquisitions, joint-ventures and start-ups.
• Taking responsibility to solve complex and time sensitive problems, implementing change successfully and continuously making improvements to our services.
• Implementing best practices at all times, adhering to change control procedures and curating system documentation.
• Automating deployment and maintenance to allow the team to focus on more productive tasks.
• Providing operational and security metrics for the management team.
• Providing guidance and support for development teams and other system administrators across the region. Coordinating with technical teams in the North America and Asia Pacific regions.
• Recruiting, developing and mentoring team members.
• Engaging in any other support or project related work as required.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES)
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) in a multi-region, Enterprise environment. Incorporating:
• AWS Modules including Cloud Formation, RDS, IAM, EC2, Lambda, Route 53.
• Identity management, Single Sign On, Role Based Access Control (RBAC), Least Privilege and Just In Time access.
• Monitoring, auditing and logging tools such as CloudWatch and CloudTrail
• Configuration and deployment technologies such as Octopus Deploy, Team City, Jenkins.
• Understanding of regulatory and compliancy standards such as SOX, PCI DSS, GDPR & CIS.
• Windows Server Operating System (2016 onwards).
• Automation and Scripting (particularly Python and PowerShell).
• Advanced certification such as AWS Solutions Architect (preferably Professional)
