Job Description
• Greet all guests at all points of contact with a warm, genuine, friendly manner
• Respond to all guest inquiries regarding Music Hall services & amenities, food and alcohol menus, Restaurant, Retail, & Foundation
• Control the flow of business in terms of restaurant guest flow
• Responsible for maintaining the Open Table system and reporting
• Delegates all daily operational host responsibilities to host team members
• Ensures all Hosts are maintaining the appropriate HOB Host Standards and etiquette
• Responsible for all Host training in terms of any new Host information and initiatives.
• Follow up with Service Team to ensure that service standards are met
• Perform opening/running/closing duties according to HOB policy
• Maintain line of sight/atmosphere control by circulating through work area and reporting any issues encountered
• Follow housekeeping standards per HOB policy
• Keep current on all Standard Operating Procedures and be able to effectively communicate them to team members
• Turn in all lost and found articles to M.O.D.
• Ensure proper line of sight maintenance by all staff at all points of guest contact
• Attend all pre-shift meetings conducted by M.O.D. prior to start of shift
• At close of every shift, record Open Table report information & comments on Blues Report
• Distribute Closing Checklists to each department in Restaurant and conduct checkouts in each area.
• Communicate to M.O.D. any issues that team members may have
• Required to occasionally work Special Events that are scheduled throughout the venue


• (State or County Licensee or Certification Requirement)/ Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training Certification or Equivalent
• Working knowledge of: high volume restaurant operations, guest relations and efficient problem solving
• Restaurant/Point of Sales (POS) knowledge, Open Table (reservation system) knowledge
• Skill in guest relations/staff relations. Memorizing menus/assessing and anticipating special needs of guests. Prioritization of duties, salesmanship, effective communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks/issues at one time effectively, with an upbeat attitude
• Read guests in order to anticipate their needs and turn potentially negative situations into positive ones
• Communicate well with team members and managers and foster an atmosphere of unity and camaraderie
• Handle delegation and follow up with team members on a daily basis.
• Special requirements (Licenses, Certification, Professional, ETC)
• High School Diploma required
• HOB Certified Trainer

• Experience in a fast paced environment
• High skill level in Open Table and/or reservation software
• Previous Customer Service/ Host experience
• Skills in interpersonal communication and teamwork
• College diploma in related field

Physical Demands/Working Environment:
• Working environment is fast-paced, often loud and stressful
• Position requires extended periods of prolonged standing and working on your feet
• Must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs using proper lifting techniques
