THE ROLE
As the Director, Sponsorship Sales, you will focus on the development, sales, and execution of sponsorship programs for Live Nation Canada. We are looking for a client-centric, sales leader with a passion for building and delivering outstanding partner programs to join our team and help deliver on our exciting growth trajectory.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
• Lead sponsorship sales team to achieve revenue targets
• Seek and engage a large volume of new prospects for live entertainment sponsorship, developing customized, integrated and innovative sponsorship proposals that demonstrated insight and knowledge of client business and the world of music
• Lead presentations to new prospects and negotiate packages for potential Live Nation Canada sponsorships
• Project manage sponsorship discussions from first touchpoint to close
• Drive, measure and report on pipeline progression
• Effectively balance priorities to deliver against national and regional/festival sponsorship priorities
• Lead annual renewal processes as required, including leading the negotiation and execution of all necessary legal processes
• Manage client expectations honestly and with integrity
• Actively maintain relationships with any current sponsors, industry contacts or future sponsorship prospects
• Use analysis and insight to drive decisions in a way that yields sustained, measurable results
• Lead and encourage a team of emerging sales professionals; provide mentorship to ensure objectives are met and nurture personal development goals
• Provide thought leadership to sponsors during the conceptualization phase and throughout delivery; set the standard of creativity and strategic delivery
• Develop a deep and detailed understanding of the sponsors business and competitive environment to continually deliver against business objectives for both the sponsor, Live Nation Canada and any all-other relevant stakeholders
• Proactively identify and manage critical issues; demonstrate resilience and adapt to evolving plans and strategies; where conflicting issues on sponsorship arise, able to find solutions along with the internal team
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
• A minimum of 7-10 years of demonstrated success in a sponsorship/media sales, strategy and/or sponsorship marketing role
• You are a creative, upbeat and an organized leader with vision, driven to deliver breakthrough and compelling multi-platform marketing and digital solutions
• A proven people leader with a track record of success leading a sales team
• Post graduate degree or diploma in a business-related field preferred
• Strong proficiency using PowerPoint and Excel
• Excellent client interpersonal skills, presentation skills and confidence in leading conversations
• Creative problem solving and experienced negotiating skills
• Experience developing and managing budgets
• A genuine curiosity about evolving consumer and cultural trends
• A detailed understanding of new media and a desire to stay current on emerging digital platforms
• Ability to think 'big picture' in both strategy and execution
• Ability to build and develop professional relationships both inside and outside of the organization with ease
• Thrives in a fast-paced team environment with ability to efficiently manage multiple priorities
• An energetic self-starter that works best under minimal direction
• An ongoing awareness and responsiveness to client happiness
• Ability to work events (evenings and weekends) as the need arises

Physical Requirements/Work Environment
Sits for extended periods of time at a computer station or work desk; stands and walks throughout the day; occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.; uses hands and fingers to operate computers and office equipment for up to 8 hours each day; lifts up to 10 pounds regularly; exposed to typical office environment conditions and noise levels.
