The JOB
The Business Analyst is a key member of our Concerts Business Systems BI team within Live Nation. The Business Analyst would work directly with the project team and clients gathering requirements to analyze, design and implement new data sets into our BI platforms and facilitate business change requests. We are seeking candidates who are proactive, self-starters and have a proven track record. They should also have experience in bridging the gap between initial client requests and fully developed requirements that can be presented to development teams. Additionally, the Business analyst will develop, execute, or oversee testing procedures to ensure the final product meets customer requirements.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
• Work with a wide range of technical stakeholders to identify use cases, gather BI data requirements, develop acceptance criteria, and test procedures.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, subject matter experts, developers, system testers, and User Acceptance Testers through the development lifecycle.
• Research data from various business systems, map requirements to available data and work with BI developers to ingest data into Databricks and help design end-to-end business intelligence solutions to support our Ticketing and Pricing analytics team.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders, data services and BI developers as needed to understand the impact of change across multiple areas of the business.
• Analyze data to shed light on key business questions/issues and present on findings.
• Evaluate and address cross-functional and cross-system dependencies.
• Responsible for creating/grooming user stories, documenting detailed technical specifications to guide developers in implementation, and partnering with the functional architects to deliver quality BI data solutions.
• Advise clients on alternate methods of solving needs or recommend specific workarounds.
• Perform system configuration and administrative activities on the SAP Business Objects platform and Tableau application.
• Troubleshoot and identify root causes of data quality / system defects both in development and production.
• Leverage business knowledge and expertise to identify opportunities for process improvements; serve as a trusted technology advisor for business users.
• Maintain a high-level familiarity with other IT systems / business applications that provide data to our BI platform.
• Coordinate and perform system testing to ensure requirements are met. Work closely with project team during user acceptance testing (UAT), including tracking issues through to resolution and securing end user acceptance sign-off.
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5 years prior BI Business Analyst experience working with transactional data.
• Experience with the Salesforce platform, SAP Business objects, Tableau, Databricks or equivalent experience with other BI, CRM, Data Lake and reporting platforms.
• Strong technical capability to develop and run complex SQL queries required.
• Some experience with Python scripting.
• Strong Excel skills - must be comfortable analyzing large quantities of data utilizing Excel, create complex formulas, pivots and develop models.
• 2-3 years in an Agile development environment preferred.
• Experience with Atlassian products (Jira/Confluence) preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Great analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

The expected compensation for this position is:
$72,000.00 USD - $90,000.00 USD
** Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
