Show Technician Lighting

Job Description

We are looking for experienced and creativeLighting Technicians to join our team. This is an exciting and challenging role, which will involve the maintenance, design and operation of lighting equipment and systems. You will be responsible for the quality and functionality of the audio, lighting and video lighting equipment used in events, concerts and other live productions, as well as for the design and delivery of creative lighting solutions. You must have a passion for music, a knowledge of current technologies and a keen eye for detail. Job Responsibilities
• Set up, operate, maintain and troubleshoot lighting systems for live events.
• Advise the production team on the best technical solutions for lighting needs.
• Program lighting systems
• Work with other technicians to ensure sound and lighting systems are properly synchronized.
• Execute live sound and lighting mixes for various events.
• Be involved in the pre production of shows
• Ensure all equipment is set up, tested and operating correctly.
• Ensure safety protocols for sound and lighting systems are followed.
• Provide technical support for lighting systems before, during and after events.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest lighting technologies.
• Load and unload equipment for live events

Job Requirements
• Minimum two years of experience in sound, lighting, and video engineering
• Demonstrated knowledge of lighting equipment
• Ability to configure, operate troubleshoot and repair lighting systems
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to lighting equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents
• Understanding of DMX, Artnet and other lighting protocols
• Familiarity with industry standards and best practices
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment
• Availability to work flexible hours, including overnight and weekends
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and problem solving skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
• Proven track record of reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and climb ladders
• Proficient in using computers and computer software
• Must have valid driver's license
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must have a flexible schedule
