Job Description

Summary of Position

The Company has an immediate opening for a proactive, hands-on Director of Corporate Communications to work in a fast-paced environment interacting with Lionsgate senior management on a wide range of media relations, executive communications and internal communications issues. Candidate will report to the EVP, Corporate Communications, and will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer, Vice Chairman and business unit heads of the Company.

Responsibilities
• Serve as one of the Company's principal spokespeople to financial, business, trade and consumer press

• Write and distribute press releases of corporate announcements

• Prepare executive speeches, senior management presentations, talking points and Q&A's for executive messaging to external & internal audiences

• Support senior management speeches and presentations by researching, assembling and maintaining up-to-date information about the Company, the industry, and relevant business trends & developments

• Work with the EVP, Corporate Communications, in crafting, updating and executing a holistic judicious communications plan encompassing media relations, executive communications and internal communications

• Work closely with the Human Resources Department, Office of Diversity and individual business units on a broad range of internal communications, including the Company's diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives

• Support the EVP, Corporate Communications in implementing the Company's corporate giving and corporate advertising activities

Qualifications & Skills
• Minimum of 5 - 10 years' communications experience in a corporate or government setting

• Strong track record in media relations with financial, business, consumer & trade press, writing press releases and assisting in the creation of judicious media relations initiatives

• Strong track record in preparing high-quality speeches and other corporate presentations in a corporate or government setting

• Excellent written and oral communications skills, including the ability to write crisp, effective speeches, press releases, talking points and Q&A's

• Strong analytical skills and research capabilities

• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple projects under strict time constraints

• Must adhere to the highest standards of confidentiality for sensitive materials

Nice to Haves
• Entertainment industry experience preferred but not essential

• Background in financial and M&A communications preferred but not essential

• Background in preparing presentations for senior management, including slide design & production, a plus but not essential
